

Cardinal Tomás Ó Fiaich
Born in Anamar, Cullyhanna in 1923, Tomás Ó Fiaich was a respected historian, Celtic scholar and Catholic leader. A champion of Irish language and culture, he became one of its foremost scholars. Appointed Archbishop of Armagh in 1977 and later Cardinal, his motto “Brothers Together” reflected his dedication to unity, history and community.
